Nice and cozy, it has pretty scenery. One campground is right off the lake. The other campground is tucked in some wooded area. Nice shade trees, and a touch of nature. Great camping. If you rv you will need to hall water. Most sites do not have full hook up. Just a heads up.
Absolutely LOVED Sangchris! We stayed at Hickory Point. Our spot faced part if the lake, and it was so BEAUTIFUL! The park hosts were just Wonderful. The camp grounds were clean, the showers and bathrooms were clean and nice. Our "neighbors" were so nice, friendly, and helpful..as were everyone we met. This was my first time camping, and I just loved it. We are planning on coming back in the fall!
One of Illinois s hidden secrets. Very nice and clean. You must make reservations at least three days in advance on reserveamerica. com, and you better reserve way ahead, cause it books up fast. Hickory point is way more scenic then deer run, but deer run is much more peaceful.
Mike & Mary Kay are great hosts. Very friendly & helpful. Campground is quiet & well maintained. We will be back.
The fishing is great!! I do feel they could do better with cutting the weeds down and clearing the weeds around the bank in the water a little better
